Be equipped to help those in need.
Want to be better equipped to actively serve your community? Or maybe you need a qualification for all the community work you’ve been doing?
AC’s Diploma of Community Services is a unique program designed to equip people to think and act differently regarding community transformation. This course draws upon the latest best practice in community engagement and is specifically designed for experienced community workers and those who have experience in church-based community services work.
We offer two options : The Diploma of Community Services, a fully accredited VET Award endorsed by the ACC Community Engagement Director, Pastor Paul Bartlett. And the RPL option is for people who have 5 or more years’ experience in community services.

What sets AC Community Services students apart?
We recognise your prior learning! Our CHC52015 Diploma of Community Services RPL is for individuals who already have community services experience (approximately 5+ years). Students will have the opportunity to obtain an accredited Diploma of Community Services by participating in a 5-day intensive. This RPL mode draws upon your many years of community engagement, acknowledging the experience you already have, and then provides quality ‘gap’ training to enhance your skill set.
Career Ready
We equip you to be career ready in a range of roles. Our graduates have gone on to work in women’s shelters, refugee support services, community foodbanks, prison release programs, youth centres and programs, before and after school care programs, homeless shelters, family support services and other local community initiatives.

Student Stories
As a community pastor I was encouraged to identify what I'm doing well and to be able to share that with others. I was also able to gain insight into new opportunities and strategies to support and bless my community.
